The Dr. Rhys B. Jones Dental Health Center
Recently the Dental Health Center changed its name to the Dr. Rhys B. Jones Dental Health Center. The name change honors longtime director Rhys B. Jones, DDS, MS, who provided the Center with his vision, passion and leadership. He dedicated his entire career to improving the dental health of low-income children and developmentally disabled adults in our community. Dr. Jones died suddenly in April 2012. “We wanted this center to be named after him since he was a kind, generous and compassionate public health servant,” said Ritu Bansal, DDS, MPH, director of the Dr. Rhys B. Jones Dental Health Center.

Providing quality, low cost dental services for those in need of financial assistance since 1976. The Dr. Rhys B. Jones Dental Health Center provides routine dental care with an emphasis on prevention and education. The Dental Health Center serves patients in Cedar Rapids and counties in east central Iowa.
Dr. Rhys B. Jones Dental Health Center provides comprehensive dental care to infants through 18 year olds. Disabled people of any age are also eligible for services at the DHC.
Our goal is to give children of all ages a positive experience when going to the dentist. We are kid friendly and staffed with dentists, dental assistants and dental hygienists with pediatric and special care experience. DHC dental hygienists visit local schools to provide dental screenings and dental sealants. Dental hygienists work to improve access to dental care for many eastern Iowa children.
